Our In-Country Activities

To encourage young girls to stay in school and receive a consistent education, we most recently funded female sanitary pads for 100 under-privileged girls in primary school in Busia, Uganda in early 2014. The alternative for these girls was to miss almost a week of school every month due to lack of resources and due to the stigma surrounding these issues in the community. By allowing these girls to avoid absences every month, they stand a stronger chance of becoming academically successful and continuing on to secondary school.

Prior to 2014, we collaborated on agriculture and heifer projects in rural villages of Uganda in order to enable under-resourced farmers to achieve food security and modest income generation.
